Installing Non-Releasable Weight Pockets

To install the non-releasable (trim) pockets to the BC cylinder band, please follow the directions below:

1. Unthread the BC cylinder band from the buckle.

2. Inspect the webbing side of the non-release (trim) pockets. The outer slot is where the cylinder band will initially be inserted to secure the pockets. The cylinder band will pass through the inner slot prior to the final securing of the cylinder band so the hook and loop ends don't get caught.

3. Install the non-releasable (trim) pockets onto the cylinder band by threading the open end or buckle end of the band through the rear (webbing side) of the pocket. One pocket should be installed on each side of the cylinder band. The buckle side of the pocket should be facing out.

4. Rethread the cylinder band through the buckle. Refer to Threading the Cylinder Band procedure, if needed.

warning NOTE: This final threading step is done when the BC is secured to the cylinder (refer to step 4 in section: Securing the BC to the Cylinder). Close the buckle halfway to prevent the webbing from slipping and thread the free end of the band through the open slot in the end of the buckle.
